The weather is looking perfect for a ride on Saturday 8th of August, so we hope to see you at Barry Avenue at 9 am (B ride) and 9:10 am (C ride).

If there are more than 6 of riders per group ride, we’ll split into 2 groups, so if you’re able to download the route onto your Garmin, please do so.

Please register on the Doodle Poll if you’re planning on coming. And remember to bring your mask, gloves, and sun cream 🙂

A Ride – Linda & Jeeves

After much back and forth-ing, the A ride heads to Abingdon on Saturday. You have the option of two starts.
Jeeves will lead the route out of Windsor at 9 am which will come through Marlow. I’ll be at The Resolute Cafe in Marlow at Higginson Park to be picked up at 9:45 am.
You can join at either spot. It’s a bit of a long one and it will be hot so please bring two drink bottles and some food for the ride.

Coffee Stop … here

B Ride – Julia (86km)

The weather is going to be scorchio on Saturday; no rain, blue skies, and a light north-easterly breeze. The Field Kitchen in Nettlebed reopened this week, so we’ll do a trip out to Sonning Common, Woodcote and Nuffield, stopping in Nettlebed on the way back into Henley. Most of the work has been done before coffee then it’s a nice pootle back through Wargrave and the Walthams. If the Field Kitchen is heaving we’ve got the back-up of Henley Rugby Club which was quite a successful stop a couple of weeks ago.

The route here for those that want to check I’m not taking you the wrong way:

I’m getting quite good at drawing these maps (although I can’t ever find a way to finish at the same place we start, so this map finishes somewhere along the A308) but I’m totally incapable of getting it from my laptop onto my Garmin! I’m told that you have to load it from laptop to phone, then phone to Garmin. Why make it so bloody complicated??
Sorry, rant over.
The route is 86km, plus the extra bit down the A308!
The profile makes it look a lot worse than it really is!

C Ride – Lesley (49km)

As it’s going to be very hot we’ll have no big hills and head out to Dinton Pastures. Route via Drift Rd, Shurlock Row and Hurst. Coffee at Dinton and then return via Dunt lane, Straight Mile Holyport etc.
