BTS 2014 in aid of Children in Need

In 2014, Berkshire Tri Squad will be raising money for BBC Children in Need. This builds on the success of the club’s fundraising in past years, for example the £2,000 raised in 2013 for the Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust.

Each year, Children in Need makes thousands of grants to small and medium sized charities that help disadvantaged children and young people in the UK who suffer from abuse, neglest, deprivation, disability, illness or distress and as a result in 2013 over 450,000 children in the UK benefitted from your support.

Many of the grants made by Children in Need are local to where we live and work.  For example, there are over 20 charities who benefit from Children in Need grants within a 10 mile radius of the club’s heartland of Windsor, Slough, Maidenhead and Ascot.

Every penny raised by BTS for Children in Need will go directly to the small and medium-sized UK charities that are awarded grants.  None of the money raised will be lost in the fundraising or admin costs of Children in Need; these costs are covered separately by the BBC and from investment income and gift aid.

The BBC Children in Need team would like to say a big thank you to everyone at BTS for their support in 2014.
