Of course nobody wants to think about the worst that can happen when you are out on the bike, but it makes sense to be prepared for some less than favourable eventualities that can occur when training or racing for triathlon or even just life in general.
With this in mind, BTS has put in place a programme of First Aid classes, available free to all members and held in small groups over the last few weeks, with more planned.
The recommendations on how to treat certain injuries and certainly guidelines on CPR and what to do in such a situation have changed over time, so even those who have done such courses before are learning new things.
